What FirstLook is
WARDOGS First Look is the FirstLook-powered registration and account dashboard at community.wardogs.com. It handles community-account and testing-flow administration under the official WARDOGS domain. It is not the game client, Steam, a guaranteed invitation, or a key marketplace.
Signup versus login
Choose Sign Up when creating the community account for the first time. Choose Log In when returning to an existing dashboard, and use the provider connected during registration. Creating a second account with a different sign-in method can make the earlier profile appear missing.
Available login methods
The WARDOGS login page currently presents Discord, Steam, and Email methods. Using one of those providers authenticates the community account but does not guarantee a WARDOGS test license on that platform. The collected FirstLook documentation does not promise that different login methods can later be merged, so that behavior is pending confirmation / 待确认.
What the dashboard means
A successful dashboard login proves that the account exists. Historical developer guidance described registered users as joining a waiting list and watching announcement channels for an invitation. Dashboard membership, waitlist status, Discord membership, a Steam wishlist, and an actual Playtest license remain separate states.
Account troubleshooting
- Confirm you are on
community.wardogs.com. - Try the original login provider instead of creating another account.
- Complete pending email verification.
- Allow required cookies or retry in a clean browser session.
- Use the FirstLook FAQ for platform account problems.
Never send passwords, backup codes, or full product keys to another community member. FirstLook support may need account context, but public helpers do not need secret credentials. Redact personal information before sharing an error screenshot.
Access expectations
FirstLook supports the long-term community testing pipeline. For the August Closed Beta, the current Steam offer says pre-purchase guarantees access while Steam Request Access remains selection-based. Read the playtest hub whenever an older dashboard or signup instruction conflicts with a newer dated announcement.
Confirmed facts stay separate from speculation.
Dates, prices, platforms, test access, downloads, and gameplay rules are checked against Steam, Team17, BULKHEAD, or another named first-party source. Community claims are labeled until independently confirmed.
