Official PC specifications
WARDOGS currently lists Windows PC through Steam. The official minimum and recommended specifications attach performance targets to their CPU and GPU examples, so read the table as a complete set rather than comparing only the graphics-card name.

Both tiers require a 64-bit operating system, 16 GB RAM, broadband internet and 50 GB of available space. Early Access updates can increase the practical free-space requirement beyond the installed footprint.
Read the performance targets correctly
The minimum target is 1080p Low at 60 fps using upscaling. The recommended target is 1440p Medium at 70+ fps natively, or 4K Medium at 60+ fps using upscaling. These are developer targets, not a guarantee for every laptop, thermal condition, driver or busy multiplayer scene.
Compare the full GPU model, available VRAM, CPU class and cooling. A mobile GPU with a familiar product number may operate below a desktop card with the same family name.
Storage is not download size
Steam lists 50 GB of available space. That number is a storage requirement, not a promise that the network download is exactly 50 GB. Compression, temporary unpacking, shader data and later patches can require additional room.

Check the hardware you actually have
On Windows, open Task Manager → Performance or System Information to identify the CPU, installed RAM, GPU and drive. Record the exact laptop GPU name and VRAM rather than relying on the laptop’s marketing title. Confirm that the game is using the dedicated GPU when both integrated and discrete graphics are present.
If performance is poor, test one change at a time: resolution/upscaling, shadow quality, frame generation availability, background applications and current graphics driver. Patch notes mention ongoing GPU-crash reporting and rendering fixes, so keep the game updated before comparing results.
Other platforms and streaming
The active store requirement is Windows PC through Steam. Official launch material says consoles are planned for 2028, but it does not provide individual console dates, cross-play details or a Mac/Linux support promise. Cloud streaming availability can also change independently of native platform support.
Do not treat a successful compatibility-layer report as an official supported configuration. Use the current Steam platform icons and developer announcements for supported systems.
Install and troubleshoot
Before buying, compare your hardware with both tiers and decide which official target matches the display you intend to use. After installation, update the client, start with conservative settings and test a real multiplayer scene rather than only a menu.
