What the spawn APC does
The M113 APC SV is the tracked team asset commonly called the spawn APC or spawn vehicle. Current post-launch reports describe one for each team and let teammates deploy from it near the front. It solves a different problem from a Forward Operating Base: the FOB supports building and logistics, while the APC provides the mobile respawn function documented by current field guides.
The vehicle is valuable because it shortens repeated travel from headquarters. That also makes its position sensitive: a careless driver can expose a team-wide route, while a good position keeps reinforcements flowing without sitting directly on the objective.
When it becomes available
Multiple launch-period guides agree that the spawn vehicle becomes available after one team reaches 20 points. This is a post-launch field record, not a first-party patch specification. Check the Deployment Board and match HUD because the trigger, number of vehicles and replacement delay can change during Early Access.
Do not wait at headquarters from the start of the round for a vehicle that is still locked. Help the team reach the active Control Zone, then watch for the asset when the score condition is met.
Deploy from headquarters
A current deployment walkthrough records this flow:
- Use the Deployment Board at headquarters.
- Select the M113 APC SV marker when it is available.
- Wait through the displayed deployment countdown.
- Enter as the driver and leave the deployment area.
The reviewed interface used a ten-second countdown and an interaction key to exit, but key bindings and timers are version-sensitive. Follow the labels shown by the current client instead of memorizing an old control.
Drive and park for the team
Drive with a destination, an approach route and a fallback position already chosen. The best parking place is close enough to shorten the run, behind solid cover, outside the obvious direct line from the objective and with room to escape. Turn the vehicle so the driver can leave without a slow multi-point maneuver.
Tell the team where the spawn is and which route from it is safe. Move when the Control Zone rotates, when the enemy begins searching the area or when the route becomes predictable. A spawn vehicle parked directly in the capture area can reveal itself to every opponent arriving there.
Protect the spawn function
Current community guides describe the roof antenna or radar as the component that enables spawning and report that it can be disabled separately. Treat that component behavior as versioned. If teammates stop seeing the spawn option, inspect the vehicle and interface before assuming the whole server is broken.
Keep the APC fueled, avoid unnecessary collisions and ask nearby infantry to screen likely approaches. Exact fuel use, repair rules, driver rewards and replacement cooldowns are deliberately omitted here because public sources disagree or may reflect different builds.
Counter an enemy APC
First locate the approach route rather than chasing the last infantry spawn. The PC Gamer beginner guide identifies RPGs, IEDs and C4 as practical counters. Use the weapon or explosive that your current role can field, coordinate with another player and avoid standing beside the target after placing an explosive.
Disabling the enemy spawn function can be enough to break a reinforcement route; destroying or camping it may cost more time than the active objective allows. Recheck the Control Zone before committing the whole squad. Continue with the vehicle reference for other transports and Playing With Friends for driver and squad coordination.
Read every value with its version.
Official changes use first-party announcements. Item fields without a current official table remain labeled as dated gameplay records until they can be checked in the public client.
