A useful forward base needs a suitable position, the right tools and an ongoing supply route, not just a placed structure.

Plan a useful position

WARDOGS construction begins with a purpose, not a wall. Decide whether the position will support the active zone, receive supplies, repair vehicles, operate a drill or host an emplacement. Check that vehicles can approach and leave, that the team can defend the core and that the objective is still close enough to justify the work.

A position without a delivery route consumes time and cash. Ask who will place the FOB, who carries the hammer, who moves supplies and when the team will stop expanding.

Bring the core, tool and supplies

The construction package separates the Forward Operating Base item, a suitable hammer and the resources used by structures. The official launch update raised the FOB vendor price to $7,500 and the Large Hammer price to $2,400; the Large Hammer access gate is Support level 8 and $75,000.

Use the current vendor to confirm what a purchased FOB includes and what must be carried separately. Inventory size and vehicle cargo space matter before leaving base.

Distinguish the supply types

SupplyTypical use
BuildFortifications, structures and emplacements
FuelDrills and powered systems
AmmoMortars, anti-air and other weapons
MechanicalVehicle repair and service functions

A crate near a FOB is not automatically available to the base. Follow the unload or transfer interaction and verify that the relevant stock increases. Infantry magazines are also separate from a logistics ammunition stock.

Construct and verify delivery

Use the placement preview to confirm valid ground and orientation. After placing a blueprint, equip the correct hammer and follow the build prompts until the structure completes. Check the base inventory after every delivery and communicate which supply type is missing before another vehicle leaves base.

An Early Access FOB construction guide adds several useful field checks: protect the FOB core before expanding, leave a vehicle route, spread important drills so one artillery strike cannot remove all of them and manually close gates. That guide reports ordinary doors closing after 30 seconds while gates remain open, so builders should test the actual opening before trusting it.

Keep the FOB core protected and leave doors, gates and vehicle lanes usable. Build the essential function first; decoration or a wide perimeter can wait until the supply loop works.

Keep the position usable

A useful FOB needs observation, repair access and an exit condition. Space important systems so one attack does not remove everything, close manual gates, and avoid trapping friendly vehicles behind fortifications. Watch the objective and dismantle the plan mentally when the Hot Zone or team route changes.

Drills, mortars and anti-air require their matching resources and players who understand their operation. A large construction project does not score by itself.

Expand with the team

Use the FOB entry for the deployment item, vehicles for supply transport and Control Zone for the objective. Official price and progression changes are in the Season 1 changelog.

When the position has a purpose, a reliable route and enough people to use it, add the next structure. When one of those conditions disappears, return effort to the objective rather than spending more on an unsupported base.
