Confirmed Beta history
The WARDOGS Beta sessions before the Steam Early Access release have ended. The August and September batches are historical testing windows. The current game is available through Steam, while future tests require a new announcement.
August Closed Beta
The first weekend ran August 21–23, 2026, followed by an August 24 developer recap confirming its end. The old pre-purchase guarantee applied to that offer. It does not establish permanent access to all later tests or replace a current game purchase.
September Beta and Open Beta
The developer announced Beta 02 on September 1 and described invite waves for a scale test. The September 5 notice changed the test to an Open Beta until Sunday at 08:00 UTC. Do not confuse an announcement’s show time with a separately verified server opening time.
Current access route
Buy and install the current EA game through Steam. For future testing, the signup guide and FirstLook guide explain the community portal. A registration is not a confirmed invitation, and a wishlist is not a game license.
Client and account checks
An old WARDOGS Playtest entry may remain in a Steam library. Check that you are launching the game associated with your current license and that it is updated. See Download for installation and Troubleshooting for queues and failed joins.
Official history and support
The official Steam announcements document the test history. Refund decisions belong to Steam Support under its current policy, not this wiki. Return to the playtest hub when researching a new test rather than reusing an expired schedule.
Read every value with its version.
Official changes use first-party announcements. Item fields without a current official table remain labeled as dated gameplay records until they can be checked in the public client.
