What happened at launch
Launch Stability Hotfix #1 was a small client update released after WARDOGS entered Early Access. The official notice addressed launch conditions in which players could not join servers, were unexpectedly kicked during play or waited in extended login queues.
Required client restart
The announcement forced logged-in players to close WARDOGS, download the latest client update and relaunch. Players then returned to the login queue. This ensured the service was evaluating clients on the same hotfix build.
For a current version mismatch, close the game normally, let Steam finish the update, verify that no download is paused, then relaunch once.
Controlled login batches
After the restart, the team allowed players into the game in controlled batches while confirming that servers were populating successfully. This could make a working queue move slowly even after the client had been updated.
A historical controlled rollout is different from a permanent account problem. Compare the current date and official notice before waiting indefinitely.
Symptoms named by the hotfix
The first hotfix specifically named three symptoms: failure to join servers, unexpected kicks during play and extended login queue times. It did not claim to resolve every crash, authentication error, server-browser problem or local network issue.
Write down the exact stage and error before troubleshooting so a launch-era symptom is not confused with a later client or server problem.
Current troubleshooting sequence
Start with the troubleshooting guide: confirm Steam ownership and update status, check the current announcement time, restart once, reset server-browser filters, test another appropriate server and record a reproducible failure. Use Steam Support for installation or ownership and official WARDOGS routes for game-service issues.
Do not repeatedly reinstall, delete settings or change network security based only on this old incident notice.
Later server-browser work
Patch 0.11 later changed the Community and Official browser views, filtering, text search and persistent community server IDs. If the problem is finding or joining a particular server, continue to Patch 0.11 and play with friends. Return to the updates index for the full official trail.
