Ammunition and setup
Start in the current weapon screen and select a supported 5.56×45 mm magazine. Add matching loose ammunition only after the rifle has a loaded magazine and the backpack has space. Attachment availability is build-specific, so confirm every optic and muzzle choice in the current customization interface.
A September 3 controlled creator comparison highlighted the Galil's manageable recoil and magazine capacity. That test was recorded before Early Access and supports a use-case description, not a current damage or time-to-kill claim.
Battlefield role
The Galil fits general infantry that expects both close movement and medium-range fire. Semi-auto conserves ammunition and helps with deliberate shots; full auto gives the player an answer inside buildings or during a short push.
It is still a rifle inside a persistent-cash economy. Avoid carrying attachments and excess ammunition that raise the replacement cost without changing the task.
Compare another option
Use the free A-91 when the budget is the main constraint. The AK74 is another earlier recorded purchase, while the M4 costs more and sits later on the Assault track.
