Armed logistics role
Use the Attack variant when a supply route repeatedly needs a gunner and the squad can fill both transport and security roles. The M249 can discourage exposed infantry, but the truck is still a large logistics target and the mounted weapon does not replace route planning.
A current Season 1 vehicle guide notes that the cheaper Humvee M249 carries the same named gun on a faster chassis. The URAL Attack makes sense when retained cargo capacity matters.
Before deployment
Assign a driver and gunner before buying the truck. Check the destination stock, choose cargo and identify a covered unload point; otherwise the squad pays an armed-vehicle premium for an empty run.
Keep the gun facing the likely approach while cargo is unloaded, then leave before artillery or aircraft can fix the truck's position. A successful delivery and return usually matters more than staying for a prolonged firefight.

The URAL Covered keeps protected transport without the armed premium. The URAL is the lower-gate logistics choice, and the Humvee M249 in the vehicle directory is a lighter armed transport record.
